Amanacer (2021) - Oil on Canvas
Amanacer (or “Sunrise” in English) is a surreal landscape to represent the hope that a new day brings. Sunrises have a personal significance to Juncadella, who used to regularly watch them with his family whenever they would visit Pinamar, a beach town in Argentina. The landscape painted in Amanacer was inspired by these childhood visits to the beach, and the two dimensional sunrise depicted is how he remembers those from his youth.
