Spaceship was one of Juncadella’s first works where he experiments with thick textured oil paint to represent movement and the mixture of colors. Inspired by a hidden garden that he shared with close friends in his childhood neighborhood, Juncadella painted Garden of Eden visiting his secret universe - contrasting the lush green and blue landscape with the bright warm toned spaceship. To Juncadella, the painting represents a peaceful moment before change.
